This house, made up of a half-buried basement and a raised ground floor, was too cramped to live in as a family.
In order to enlarge the house, an extension was made taking up the volumetric principle of the existing house with a set of slopes on the roof.
The extension contains the living room and the kitchen in direct connection with the garden. Large bay windows allow a high contribution of light in these spaces.
The existing house has been completely renovated and insulated, and a connecting space with the extension has been created. This connection is made by large stairs opening onto a hall and giving access to the bedrooms.
Also, a connection was made with the semi-buried basement. An opening between the attic and the lower floor makes that space available.
